Melbourne Museum

The Melbourne Museum is a natural and cultural history museum located in Carlton, Melbourne. It's a great place to explore Victoria's fascinating history, culture, and natural environment. Here are some of the highlights:

Permanent Exhibitions

Explore the landscapes of the Cretaceous period at the Gandel Gondwana Garden, a living gallery that recreates a prehistoric ecosystem. Meet Victoria's dinosaur, the 67-million-year-old Triceratops named Horridus, at the Triceratops Fate of the Dinosaurs exhibit.

Learn about the Aboriginal history and culture of Victoria at the Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Other permanent exhibitions cover a wide range of topics, from the origins of life in Victoria to the story of the famous racehorse Phar Lap.

Children's Gallery

This gallery is specifically designed for young children, from babies to 5-year-olds. It provides a safe and engaging space for them to explore, play, and learn.

Temporary Exhibitions

The museum also hosts a variety of temporary exhibitions that change throughout the year. These exhibitions cover a wide range of topics, from science and art to history and culture.

The museum is open daily except for Good Friday and Christmas Day. If you're looking for a fun and educational day out in Melbourne, the Melbourne Museum is a great option.
